It has been an obvious question so far: When will Barry get out of the speed force? With The Flash season 4 coming up in about two and a half weeks, we now have our answer as to when the Barry will escape, and it’s not very long at all.
If you remember correctly, my over/under was about five episodes. It looks like the under will win it, as Barry will be broken out of the speed force in the season premiere “The Flash Reborn”. The newest synopsis from the CW gives it away, and reveals Cisco breaks him out when Baron Kitana shows up. Take a look below:
COMING HOME — With Barry (Grant Gustin) in the speed force, Iris (Candice Patton), Kid Flash (Keiynan Lonsdale), Joe (Jesse L. Martin) and Vibe (Carlos Valdes) have taken over protecting Central City. However, when a powerful armored villain threatens to level the city if The Flash doesn’t appear, Cisco makes a risky decision to break Barry out of the speed force. However, the Barry that comes out isn’t the same Barry that went in. Glen Winter directed the episode with story by Andrew Kreisberg and teleplay by Todd Helbing & Eric Wallace (401). Original airdate 10/10/2017.
We know it’s not the same Barry, and we covered it in our breakdown of the most recent trailer. There are still a number of questions that need to be answered, however. Things such as Why does he end up in a different spot when they break him out? Why is he naked? Why does he seem catatonic? A lot of answers are going to come rushing at us, and fortunately we only have to wait a couple more weeks.
The Flash season 4 premieres October 10th at 8 PM est. on the CW
