We’re ringing in the new year with the first crop of stories from the TCAs, on this week’s edition of TVEnthusiast’s The Week’s New.

New shows in development include It’s Not You, Homecoming, Metropolis, On Becoming A God In Central Florida, The Chi, Constantine, Mike Judge Presents: Tales From The Tour Bus, and The Ballad of Buster Scruggs.

Shooter, Versailles, Fuller House, The Man in the High Castle, Arrow, the Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl, Supernatural, Crazy Ex Girlfriend, Jane the Virgin, and American Horror Story have all been renewed. While Blunt Talk and Girl Meets World have both been cancelled.  Season 2 of Atlanta has been delayed to 2018, the writters of Netflix’s upcoming A Series of Unfortunate Events are already working on scripts for a second season, with a 3 season plan, and the entire cast fo Arrested Development has signed on for another season at Netflix.  Meanwhile, The Mick has been given an additional 4 episodes by Fox, The X-Files is close to a new season order, Bryan Fuller has hopes to adapt Silence of the Lambs as a Hannibal miniseries, and Archer is set to move to FXX from FX for its 8th season.

Fargo has cast David Thewlis (Harry Potter), Michael Stuhlbarg (Boardwalk Empire), and Comedian Jim Gaffigan in its 3rd season.  As Matt Angel (Grimm) and Keith David (Community) have landed roles in Arrow-verse shows.

Music Meister has been announced as the villain of the upcoming Flash/Supergirl crossover, and Conan O’Brien’s contract at TBS as almost up for negotiation, which has brought up some strange rumors.
